Hunkered Down

Since no one else is using it (architect roomies trapped in studio), I moved my lamp out to the living room. Now I can procrastinate in well-lit comfort.
Last two exams! Start tomorrow AM.

Going for the A!

one-step program

On Catherine Street (yes, there's one here too, a street over from mine), someone's spray painted a whole bunch of these "Colt 45" bottles, in rows on the sidewalk. They've been there as long as I've been in town and  haven't really stopped being interesting. We got our first real snow this week. Here's one of the slushy footprints from the morning after.

(I was late to class that morning)

Holiday Email Forwards

I hate email forwards for the most part.....and have discouraged them from all but my immediate family. I still get at least 3 or 4 a week from my mother, father, sister and my sister's fiance but its better than getting them from the extended family as well. This one was awesome though:

Well, there is good news and bad news about my Christmas decorations this year Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down. First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by. Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard. Kind of feel like I gave in to the man by taking him down but my neighbor did confirm two near miss accidents on the busy street next to my house. I think I made him too real this time. So it was fun while it lasted.

Finally

Y'all know how cheap I am, so going to try this at home Wednesday. If that fails, I'm getting the guy that does it for the 49ers to do it for me on Thursday. I'm playing UB40 everyday in the meantime..."I can see clearly now..."

Texas Armageddon

The way they describe this "threat", you would think the Armageddon is approaching.
If you click on the picture I think it will make it large enough to read.
